YANGON – MANDALAY - BAGAN – INLE LAKE
Day 1 : Yangon - Mandalay
After breakfast at hotel, we visit over 2000-years old Sule pagoda and enjoy photographing for a panoramic view of city. Proceed to Mahabandoola Park with Independent Monument ~ have a memorable scene of colonial building ,historical Botahtaung pagoda you will see the Yangon River view,then enjoy lunch at Restaurant. Afternoon,visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market for shopping and then we proceed to the biggest Chaukhtetgyi reclining Buddha statue-72 meters long huge colossal image.In the evening we go to the Kandawgyi Lake for photo taking and sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, over 2500-years-old gigantic golden stupa in Yangon. It is the holiest place of the Buddhist people and land mark of the country then transfer to high way Bus station to Mandalay.Overnight on the bus.
Day 2 : River Cruise to Mingun – Mandalay
Early morning, Arrive Mandalay Bus station where your driver will meet and welcome you. Early check in and free time for relaxation.After breakfast, boat excursion (one hour each way) up the Ayeyarwaddy river to Mingun, site of the world’s largest intact bronze bell, 3.7 meters high and weighting 87 tons. Also visit the huge but unfinished Mingunpaya (built with the intention of being the world’s biggest pagoda) and the beautiful Hsinbyumepaya, Settawya Pagoda, Myatheindan Pagoda with seven concentric terraces at the base. Then transfer back to Mandalay. After lunch, sightseeing includes Mahamuni Buddha Image with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layer of gold leaves, Shwe Nan DawKyaung( Golden Palace Monastery), a superb example of a traditional wooden building, and Kuthodaw Pagoda (known as the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures and enjoy the sunset at Mandalay Hill, advantage point for a panoramic view of the city.Overnight hotel in Mandalay.
Day 3: Amurapura – Sagaing – Inwa (Ava) - Bagan
After breakfast, transfer toAmurapura for sightseeing. Visit Mahagandayon Monastery, a famous Buddhist monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study Buddhist literature. Then,drive to Sagaing Hills over Ava Bridge across the Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing, once an ancient capital, lies 21 km south west of Mandalay, besides the Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing Hills are dotted with pagodas and there are over 500 monasteries and meditation centers, a retreat for 6000 monks and nuns. Visit Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda, U Min Thonese Pagoda. And then drive back to Mandalay. On the way back to Mandalay enjoy the beautiful sunset at 1.2 km-long U Bein Wooden Bridge built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital then transfer back to hotel to take a shower .After dinner transfer to Mandalay train station.Overnight train to Bagan ( Upper Class )
Day 4: Bagan
In the morning arrive Bagan train station where your driver will meet and welcome you.Then transfer to hotel Early check in and free time for relaxation. Excursion by car start with Shwezigone Pagoda- built in 1087 by King Anawratha who is the founder of the first Myanmar Empire.Nat ( Sprits ) images can be found within its precincts.Then observe the most venerated Ananda temple, built in 1090. It is the masterpiece of the early style temple architecture of Bagan error. Next must stop see is 66 meters high Thatbyitnnyu temple built in the middle of the 12th century as the highest pagoda on Bagan Plain. Then study 12th century mural painting inside the Gubyaukgyi temple, After that, visit a local family workshop to watch about the production process of lacquer ware, one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. Evening highlights are Manuharpagoda , unfinished Dhamagyi temple – Bagan’s most massive temple built in 1167 AD. Finally, breathtaking sunset from Shwesandaw Pagoda – most popular sunset-viewing spots in Bagan. Overnight stay at hotel in Bagan.
Day 5: Bagan - Mt Popa – NaungShwe
After breakfast, visit Mt.Popa, an extinct volcano and 60-km south-east of Bagan and 1500-meters high. Well known as the oasis of the central Myanmar dry zone and with a shrine dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats”. For the energetic, time to climb 777 steps to a shrine at the top of the volcanic plug accompanied by a crowd of monkeys. This effort will be rewarded many times by the extraordinary panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Popa National Park with dense sandal wood forest and rare species of birds and butterflies, and observe the life of rural area on the way such as producing the palm sweets We may stop several places for making the photos and knowing the countryside. Overnight stay at hotel in NaungShwe.
Day 6: Inle Lake
After breakfast at hotel. Morning walk to NyaungShwe Jetty. sightseeing by private boat. Sightseeing includes; a chance to see the leg-rowing fishermen. Continue to see the floating gardens, built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. Explore in and around the lake by small boat. Learn the life of fishermen, and floating gardens on which fruits, flowers, and vegetables are grown. Visit Nampan market or Ywama floating market or another one (depend on five days’ movement) to watch the colorful minorities of Shan State. Phaungdawoo Pagoda is right in the center of the lake and famous for it’s five shapeless Buddha Images heavily gilded with gold. Then continue to floating village to learn the daily life of Intha people. Overnight in NaungShwe.
Day 7: Inle Lake - Pindaya - Yangon
In the morning after breakfast drive to Pindaya cave in which thousand of Buddha Images are adorned at every corner of the niche. Again stop at Ngetpyawtaw village to learn the Local bamboo umbrella making and village, then to Yechansin village to study the Bamboo hat making. Then transfer back to naung shwe , Overnight bus to Yangon
Day 8 : Yangon Departure
In the morning arrive Yangon bus station where your driver will meet and welcome you.Then transfer to international airport for departure flight.
